The Talk4Change Workshops

There are three basic workshops addressing different organisational challenges. These will be tailored
specifically to meet your precise requirements. They are:

Talk4 Performance Management - conversations to get the best from your people
Talk4 Project Management - conversations to get the best from your project teams
Talk4 Organisational Change - conversations to speed up the process of change

All our workshops are highly interactive and involve learning through practice on
real life situations the
participants are facing rather than theoretical case studies. In our experience this has been by far the quickest
and most effective method of developing the skills and confidence to handle critical conversations.
We see developing these skills as a process rather than a one off event. We therefore deliver the training in
three phases - main workshop, follow up workshop and follow up clinic along with unlimited email support
throughout the program.

Workshop Objective

The program modules are designed very simply to help participants develop the skills and confidence to
effectively handle critical conversations so that they not only get the results they want but strengthen their
relationships at the same time. The workshop is tailored for each client

Benefits

When people become skilled in the art of handling critical conversations, they
report benefits including:

Greater personal and job satisfaction
Improved personal and team motivation
Improved personal and team productivity
Lower stress levels
More rewarding business relationships
Greater cooperation from colleagues

At a company level, the primary benefits are:

Greater productivity and motivation
A performance culture
Increased willingness to be held accountable

EMail Support

We offer unlimited email support to participants throughout the program to give
them advice, guidance and coaching when they need it.

Program Content

We deliver the program in three modules - 1) the workshop 2) the learning
review (4-6 weeks later) and 3) the follow up clinic (a further 4-6 weeks later)

Module 1 - Workshop - One Day

The workshops vary by target market but all are highly interactive and involve a
great deal of practice and coaching on real-life situations. We have found this
approach to be by far the most effective way to build skills and confidence in
this challenging area.

Common questions we answer on the workshop are:

What is the real problem for me with this situation?
Deep down, what do I really want to achieve from this conversation?
Should I avoid or confront the situation?
Why do my attempts to address these situations so often backfire?
Why do I get often get taken the wrong way?
Why do people get so defensive when I challenge them?
What do I need to change about myself and my approach to get the best result?
How can I raise the issue without damaging the relationship?
How do I open the conversation?
What if the conversation starts to go wrong, how do I get it back on track?
How do I close the conversation and make sure we follow through?

Module 2 - Follow up review - Half Day

Between four and six weeks following the workshop, the participants will meet for a half day. Participants
report back formally on their experiences in handling critical conversations since the worksop - the situations
where they have applied the learning, successes and challenges, changes they have seen in themselves and
others, the benefits they have seen and any concerns they still have. We then agree the major challenges they
are facing and build solutions to address them.

Module 3 - Clinic - Two hours

Approximately one month after the review, we conduct a clinic. This has no formal agenda but is a forum where
participants can bring along their own challenges and receive advice, guidance and coaching from the tutors
and their coleagues on how to address them.

The fee for all three modules plus unlimited email support for delegates is £4500 + VAT + Expenses
for up to 12 delegates.
At the heart of all organisational
issues is a conversation that isn't
happening or is happening badly
